If people were ‘theorizing’ on who this is about.. it’s pretty obvious. However, I AM SO IMPRESSED she whipped two songs about Travis out for this album in that short time of it’s production from when they started dating.

Travis made his love for her known on his podcast ‘New Heights’ which is great, btw, Jason is so funny.
A few months later, we can assumed they had met a few times, and then all of a sudden, she showed up at his game. It broke the internet. She began to wear his number and then he went to her tour, the first time, as her boyfriend.
This is a pretty good summary of their relationship – however I wont speculate about if they are engaged or not.
So he went from a dream, to having his own set basically on TTPD during the tour. Again I WAS THERE IT WAS RARE on N3 at London when he became apart of the set!!
The fans were literally dying, I was crying because Tay is just so happy and is with a man who finally knows WHO he is dating and treats her so well. But this interview “Just don’t drop the baby” is so so so funny.
The last thing I want to point out is the crazy change it has been from 2023 to 2024. Taylor in 2023 was just so sad and disconnected from what she was singing, or routinely was seen tearing up on stage. All 3 shows in 2023 that I attended just felt.. definitely like a performance, especially after I saw her in London a year later. COMPLETELY different energy. It was so beautiful to see
So in comparison I want to show this video – of when she sings somethings in life are bigger than dating the boy on the football team as she giggles after, because she is dating the boy on the football team now.

During this show her best friend Abigail was at the show – so she was a bit more peppy.
Her energy is just so much more .. happy. I can’t explain it but there was a huge shift in her performances. They feel more playful – there is much less sadness. Everything is just so right.

So High School is performed at the Eras Tour- and it Switches from But Daddy I love Him – alluding to the fact that the LAST VERSE in the song is actually about Travis.

This song is just such an ode to high school and feeling of being love struck when we first get in a relationship. As a 33 year old, I can look back at high school and remember that giddy, new feeling, and not knowing a thing about love or life that bombarded me. It was all just so exciting. As a 34 year old who hasn’t truly experienced the type of relationship she is in right now [no compromises on who she is and having someone so supportive] I can only imagine what she must be feeling.

So many younger people online were so confused about this line, lol, but it is truly a high school feeling. Going to a dance or an event because of someone, and then being too nervous to actually go up to them. You hide from them in hopes they will seek YOU out to talk to you. Which is kind of funny because during the Eras tour she declined to meet him, and he did seek her out. Publicly and many times.

She is kind of admitting it all happened so fast. In a blink, she’s genuinely smiling and so happy, She’s sinking ‘melting in love’ and holding his hands, and blushing all over again. The twinkling likes can be like snow on the beach metaphors flecks of what could have been lights but I also think this is just referencing stadium lights. The first time they were really public. Both during these games, and her eras concerts, they are always seen running to one another after the events. So cute, I cant.

Watching shitty 90s early 2000s movies, around friends, ‘messing around’ without them knowing, and trying to be quiet about it. When this song first came out – along with ‘touch me why your boys play grand theft auto’ there was speculation on WHAT this meant – if it was sexual or just arms around her. But.. the choreography definitely tells us what she meant [lolol] I’ll link that lil snippet below.

This part in the Eras Tour confirms how she meant the lines ‘touch me while’ … and the follow up of you knew what you wanted and boy you got her.. AH SO CUTE. ESPECIALLY because she stands up during boy you got her. He shot his shot and gave it all he got and got the girl. And that’s why friends, all you need is a dream and a friendship bracelet.
The ‘you already know babe’ feels like something between them. Like, I got you, you already know how I feel about you.

Not really being able to concentrate, thinking about your loved one while you’re at your job [both of them have practice, so it’s applicable to either of them]. I love the ending to this song because it’s like she says it twice to give the indication they say this back to each other. Maybe their ‘I love you’ is this line. Which would be sweet. Again, that’s me spectating. But the ending just feels like a back and forth inside code for them. There is trust in this. You already know: I won’t hurt you, I’m serious, I love you.
IT is wild having this song and then just 2 songs later having The Prophecy but.. here we are

My spouse and I have been together since 2007. I was thinking about how to include him in this idea of so high school. So many change – not just life, but us as people. Our love languages, what we need in our spouses, how we receive and give love, and even our mental diagnosis shift or change as we age. The world tells us that we need to be specific things when we are younger that we don’t need to be at all – and we get to beautifully realize that as we age. When you first meet someone you are in this so high school, feeling. You don’t want to mess it up. You want to be perfect for them. You feel obligated to drop everything for them, but you also want to. You want to spend every moment with them, you get butterflies when their name lights up your phone, you want to impress their friends, and you feel insane for how fast you may be thinking about a future with them. I was lucky enough to get to know my person deeply, and never have to HAVE to get to know someone else like that again. To me, that’s such a gift. I know the in’s and out’s of my partner – and to know someone’s heart that deep is such an honor.
